Matrix headlights via the MyAudi app?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have just placed an order for a new Q6 S-Line Quattro through my salary sacrifice scheme, the car is in stock and I haven’t been able to spec anything on the car. All I know is it has the standard S-Line wheels and the free solid grey colour.

I previously bought an S5 and specked the car with Matrix headlights. I think they were part of the Sound and Vision pack for the S5 so when I saw the Q6 came with the Sound and Vision pack, I was delighted as I presumed it would come with the Matrix headlights. Unfortunately after ordering the car, I realised the Sound and Vision pack has changed, either that or its model specific, so I’m absolutely gutted that it doesn’t have them.

A neighbour told me that his colleague had been able to retrospectively add these through the MyAudi app. My question is, is this correct as this certainly wasn’t an option when I bought my S5 in 2018. If this is correct, could somebody please let me know how much this would cost to add as I would love to do this, as long as Audi don’t price themselves out of the market.

Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

Thanks 👍🏼😁

You get this,

Lighting

  • LED headlights plus including digital daytime running lights, dynamic coming and leaving home function, turning light, all-weather light, motorway light, manoeuvring light and intersection light
  • High beam assist
  • LED rear lights pro, including dynamic rear indicators and illuminated light strip with animated coming and leaving home function
  • Headlight cleaning system

I have mine and never seen anywhere in the app where you can change LED lighting to Matrix, I would be surprised in you could just turn them on with the app.

I would expect the lighting unit to be different along with other equipment.

You can order the matrix lights on the myAudi app. I think one off £1 for a month initially on most the in app addons but thereafter user term choice and price dependant on pack.

It appears you can, you are 100% right.

Matrix LED headlights

Upgrade your headlights with Audi Matrix LED technology. Individual diodes automatically switch between dipped and main beam and provide maximum illumination of the road, without dazzling other road users.

Light function package

Unlock an extra lighting function that adapts to surroundings to enhance visibility when on motorways, cornering and at junctions. The Light function package also includes lighting ‘animations’ that play when locking and unlocking your car.

High beam assist

Upgrade to High beam assist to enable the headlights to automatically detect oncoming traffic, the rear lights of other road users and light sources in built-up areas. The High beam is switched on or off automatically, depending on the traffic situation.
