Jerk when moving off at almost full lock

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 2012 8p quattro and i noticed a jerk when moving off in first at almost full lock. It happens at very low speed and low and equal gas input (i would say under 30% of gas pedal). I would explain it as if you suddenly let off the gas and get back on or like car loses power for a split second. It does not happen when wheel is straight or slightly turned or full lock but somewhere in the middle. English is not my first language so i hope i explained it well and i look forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

No out of place noise, just normal jerk as if you let go off the gas and got back on immediately.

Cars with Quattro drive will crab on full lock which might explain lurch. The A3 uses Haldex system so it’s basically on FWD unless speed sensors say otherwise. I doubt there much to worry about. If worried, get the car scanned with VCDS.
