Joerty27 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hi I have just changed the oil and filter on my 2017 A3 1.5 tfsi. I fill to the required level on the dip stick took it for a run and checked it again all good. I have then got a warning light for the oil level being too high. I have removed a small amount of oil to see a change on the dip stick which is still within the limits. I ran the car for 20 miles or so and the warning light has came back on for high oil level. Is this a senior problem and is there a easy fix. Cheers
cliffcoggin Posted June 27 Posted June 27 The visual level on the dipstick is the one to rely on. The electronic level sensor sometimes goes awry and should be renewed.
Joerty27 Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM Cheers thanks I have went with the dip stick. The alarm is still on
Steve Q Posted Wednesday at 01:35 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:35 PM If the dipstick is showing ok then I'd say it's the oil.levdl sensor at fault. You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
