Air suspension compressors keeps burning out

Featured Replies

I have replaced this 3 times now last for about 3-4 weeks all good then warning light comes on and the compressor stops running.  Install new one and all good till the next time

Also does anyone know where the relay is for this?

My guess is that the compressor is running non-stop because of something like a faulty control system or an air leak is constantly calling it for it to run. I suggest getting it scanned for error codes.

Welcome David.

Where are you getting them from?

The 1st one was £200 ebay, The 2nd was from aerosus £650

I have a new one on now, car pumped up but the compressor is disconnected from the power.  I can hear any leaks from anywhere and the car has stayed at its correct position for 36 hours.  I do wonder if its the valve block

Thanks David,

I guess you mean cannot , rather than can. Possible valve block? - but you cannot hear any leaks. Worth trying with soapy water?
Aerosus? Never heard the name, but you would expect it to be good at that price.
My go-to for all things air suspension is Bagpipingandy on EBay. Could be well worth tapping into his experience and parts supply.

Please let us know how you get on David.

Regards,

Gareth.
