I just can't seem to open the boot manually.  The settings are for all doors and boot to be available to open.  But for some reason it will only work via the key fob or internal release mechanism. 

Any ideas?

Hi if its fitted with the rubber pad under the boot lid its quite possible the switch pads inside are corroded and have failed, you should hear the latch mechanism click when you press it.

Thanks Steve.  No don't hear anything going on to suggest that the latch mechanism is trying to open.  It's only a 22 plate. So I'd be disappointed if it was corrosion.  Inconvenient.  But not paying for a repair.  Thank you

Hi believe me I had this on my Audi, they have been economising on part quality since 2014 and they dont care as it adds work to the dealers.

Needs to be activated from vehicle settings. I keep my one just like that to annoy every carwash worker.
