Please clarify what you mean by that. Is it the engine temperature or the cabin temperature that is not changing? Are you referring to the fuel and temperature readings that are "going up and down"?

Firstly thank you for replying.   Its the cabin temp... engine temp is fine engine is kept cool no problem there its in the cabin that's blowing hot air our the vents the foot well also.the dials are still operable just not giving out the setting your wanting so  cold settings still blowing hot air although the dials are on cold x

If I understand correctly, when you set the cabin heater for cold it still blows hot. Is that correct? If so I reckon the flap inside the heater which controls the mixture of hot and cold air is faulty. I believe it has an electric motor to drive it, which likely is the problem. An Audi specialist should be able to sort it out.

Hello Macey.

I've got a similar problem but in reverse (car only blows cold air, not hot) in the GF's A3. One of the potential issues is a faulty Blend Door Actuator. This is a small motor behind the dash that moves the flap to allow hot in to the cabin. It sound's like yours is stuck open, rather than stuck closed.

I'd suggest looking into this, as it will be a relatively cheap part (£30ish) and can be done yourself with minimal tools and little cost.

I may be wrong, but I'd look at that first.

Hope this helps.
