Audi A4 Quattro 2002 looking for input shaft bearing/gearbox

Featured Replies

Hi - I am trying to source an input shaft bearing in gearbox for my A4 Quattro B6 or complete gearbox. I’ve looked and contacted everyone I can think of and had this club recommended to me. The manufacturers of the bearing SKF can’t supply. Hope someone can help. Thank you.

Welcome Rory,

Have you got the SKF number, and/or the size of the bearing?

You may have already been down this route, but you can normally find a cross reference to other manufacturers or contact bearing suppliers with the size you are looking for.

Regards,

Gareth.

Thanks Gareth

The SKF number is BT1B329082/Q/CL7A. The outside of the bearing has got an outer rim that sits over the casing and that’s what makes it difficult/unusual to find. Approximate measurements (with ruler not calliper) is o/d 95mm, I/d 42mm and w 23mm.

Hello Rory,

Apologies if you have already tried these contacts, but:-

Bolton Engineering Services seem to be SKF orientated.

Much further afield - Allibaba actually list that number, at £12.50 ish!!
If you haven’t tried Bolton, it might be worth asking if there are any bearings equivalents to 329082.
Regards,

Gareth.

Thanks for all your help. I think I have located a gear box so going to have a look today. If no good, I’ll try Bolton on Monday. Cheers, Rory
