Hi, I have a 2014 Avant and suspect I have a break in the wiring harness somewhere as one of the rear lights in the tailgate is not working. I’ve checked the bulb and switched the carrier over from the other side, so it’s definitely wiring. Has anyone got any tips on how to remove the Avant hinge trims to access the harness? 

Wiring comes on at the hinge, you'll see rubber grommet. Have a scan on YouTube for B8 how to video.

I used to have a B8, so I think there's a couple of Philips screws where the internal grab handle is, then the rest is clips. Get yourself some plastic trim tools. You'll need to disconnect wiring to interior light and tailgate button if one is fitted.

With the interior tailgate trim removed, you can access the trim panels at the side.
