Used car warranties

Featured Replies

Greetings all, can anyone recommend a used car warranty worth having please? Having just purchased an A4 on a 17 plate it comes with a free 3 month warranty. However, on one page it shows things that it covers. On the next it lists most of the same things in an exceptions section!!
The exceptions section on engine/turbo literally lists everything that could possibly go wrong with an engine saying, not covered. In short the warranty is worthless!

Any better suggestions anyone?

In a word: no. They are all worthless. As you have read for yourself, the exclusions mean the policies will not pay for any of the things the average motorist wants covered.

Cheers Cliff, as I suspected!

Agree, most third party warranties have more small-print than your average Hollywood prenuptial.

Just follow servicing regime to the letter as preventative measure and put money aside for repairs down the line. In most instances a lack of servicing is attributed to potential fails.
