Audi SQ5 Audi Drive Select

Featured Replies

Hi guys I have enabled the Audi drive select on my 2014 SQ5 using carista however I am not sure it is working as it should. If I select say dynamic it tells me on the dash that dynamic has been selected but the the transmission still says D and not S for Sport. Is this normal or should it enter Sport mode in transmission or do I have to stll knock the stick down to Sport mode.I could not select the suspension  part in carista as I get the headlight fault as dont have correct suspension fitted. However I did enable engine and transmission. Thanks in advance for any advice

My 2024 this comes as standard , the gearbox is in s when dynamic is selected.

It's just dynamic on my Sq5 , there is no ' sports mode '  only the gearbox enters sports mode .  Hth.

Yes mine stays in D mode on dash.I wanted to put the drive select on as going to get speakers replaced in exhaust and fit the kauftec sound booster.

It should change to S in dynamic, and E in economy mode. Mine didn't do this either as the OBDEleven app wasn't thorough enough on coding so I needed to do an extra bit with VCDS to complete it.

Has the older sq5 got individual mode on the mmi ??

Thanks guys for replies yes mine does have individual mode on it mine has comfort, auto, dynamic and individual I may have to invest in vcds or the aftermarket addon button you can buy

I fitted the switch myself (combo switch including stop/start button) and even with it you will still need the extra bit of coding done.

What switch button are you lads talking about here . ??  🤣🤣

On carista site it makes out it so easy to enable the drive select all it seems to do is put the Audi drive select screen on

I went with this one - https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/8k2959674pv10/vw-audi-multiple-switch-nero-black-8k2959674pv10 as I was already had some cable and the connectors lying around.

Yes carista and obdeleven seem to be a bit rubbish when it comes to the more in depth coding. I followed this guide - https://www.audienthusiasts.com/VagCom_FL_ADS.html to finish off the coding with vcds

I think my 24 reg comes with what your doing as standard.  Altering steering , dampers and drive modes . ...
