Loosing coolant

Featured Replies

Hi , first of all, im not a car guy, but im interested to learn from you guys.

I have an audi a3 8p the 170hp 2.0 tdi quattro verison, and i have a coolant loss, its not a leak cuz under the car its clean, when i first start the car in the morning, more smoke comes out then regular i would say, i get like some sparks feeling in the motor when its cold, like a shaking motor i would say.

Maybe someone had the same problem? I dont really have a good service around me, i have to leave town to get it repaired, i just want an opinion if anyone had the same problem

thanks

My temp fluctuate between 78-85- sometimes 90 degrees, idk if that has anything to do with it

It should run at a steady 90 after a few minutes and shouldn’t fluctuate.

Worth getting the thermostat renewed. Whether that would cure your coolant leak is very debatable, but you have to have the car running at its optimum temperature.
