No acceleration under load

Mechanics can't figure it out for my friend what is the cause of this. Sometimes pressing hard the acceleration will act like the pedal is not working at all, only under load, waiting 10-20 seconds or restarting the engine fix this issue . What I observed is that after waiting 10-20 seconds to get fixed transmission is upshifting at higher rpm than normal. She said they changed some part of the transmission but still persisted (not sure which part)No check engine, no faulty code. The car is running smoothly in the rest of the time. Did someone else encounter this issue? Garage deleted EGR and still persist.
