A3 DRL LED Flashing

Featured Replies

I've got a 2017 A3 1.4 TFSI with adaptive non matrix LED headlights. Like many, the DRL LEDs have burnt out and I'm replacing them with aftermarket LED units (P/N b011783a). I've tried two new units and with both the LEDs are flashing on and off constantly. At first I shrugged and put it down to cheap after market parts, but I've put the old one back whilst I wait for a third replacement to arrive which I've ordered from Audi and now that original one is flashing too. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Any help much appreciated.

Hi it sounds like the DRL ballast has gone up the wall.

Steve.

spacer.pngThanks Steve. I think (I'm a novice at this) that I'm replacing the ballast. It's this (image) I'm fitting. Is the larger ballast on the headlight unit controlling this?
