connecting ipod to a4

Featured Replies

hi there just got an a4 s line quattro and it has the bang and olufson stereo upgrade which i want to be able to connect my ipod to,what is the best way of doing this,do i need to get that interface thing that goes in the glovebox, audi want £500 for the pleasure and was wondering if there is another option, tried connecting through aux socket but audio is poor.

cheers lee

The best way is with an AMI system, however, if it is audio quality you are after, the audio quality from an iPod is relatively poor anyway.  Your better off using an SD card with higher bit-rate tracks loaded on.

You can not replace the radio or MMI system on the B8 (8K) A4 as you will loose access to many of the cars functions.  The link posted above is for stereo replacement on the B7 (8E) A4.

Hi,

If you have the mmi system, go for the dension GW 500, great solution. Must say multimedia on the head unit.
