Engine light

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 2019 Audi a6 avant 2.0tdi mild hybrid with 48,000 miles on the clock and have encountered a strange issue.

when returning from a journey the other day the engine light came on but with no symptoms of any problem.

i have obd 11 which performed a scan and came up with a few low voltage faults but nothing to suggest any issue that would throw up the engine light so I cleared the codes and took it for a good 2 hour run to give the battery a good charge.

we pulled in at Tesco and when I went to start it the engine light came on again.

before I commit to sending it in to the garage, has anyone encountered this issue before and can point me in the right direction?

I will do just that, just thought I’d save some keyboard tapping!!

The problems are now resolved, the engine management light was due to an ad blue sensor problem which is now fixed and the other electrical gremlins were down to a poor battery which has now been replaced.

Thanks for letting us know. Evidently you had two distinct faults: one being the Ad-blue sensor, the other being the dying battery.

I could go on about batteries, but I'd sound like an audio on repeat which must be boring for regular readers here.
