My 2015 1.3 A3 Sportback has developed some odd behavior in the operation of the Drivers side window after operating the window on a very frosty cold morning (it was frozen "up" when I tried to lower it on the button).

I have tried the normal travel limit resets i.e :- Hold button in down position (window fully open) for 5 to 10 seconds, then raise and hold button to the fully up position for 5 to 10 seconds. This should reset the "up", "down" window travel limits...... but it doesn't....

What actually happens :-

a) Button to down position and window travels to the bottom (window open position) and window stops as normal. 

b) Button to up position and window travels to the upper most position but uncontrollably travels back down again even though the buton is still held in the up position.....

It could be a faulty switch, a faulty limit switch, or even damaged wiring between door and frame. A scan on a code reader should give some pointers.
