Revs jumping from 600-800 on idle

Featured Replies

Good morning

I’m having a nightmare with my 2008 4.2ltr V8 Audi S5.

had some recent work done as in oil leak rectified, pcv valve replaced, new air filter, injector replaced due to mis fire.  Since all that on startup the car is fine until the revs go to settle which used to be around the 600 mark.  Now they jump from 600-800 without any acceleration being used. it is throwing up a P106800 Air switch over valve open circuit fault which I’ve ordered a new one for but was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this with no faults and found out what it was.  The car drives fine but I’m OCD when it comes to the car and it’s my pride and joy so want it 100%.

any help is appreciated
