Oil level sensor fault

Featured Replies

Hi, new here, thanks for letting me join.

Have a fault on my 2018 A3 1.5tfsi sline auto

the oil sensor fault has come on the dash(yellow), thought it would be an easy fix so I put a new oem sensor in and still had the fault. took it to a local garage who said its a faulty sensor so I let them change it, my thinking was I bought a dodgy one, they fit the new oem sensor and the fault is still there on the dash.

also been told the bonnet catch could be the cause but they work fine. when its open it shows on the dash and when closed it goes off.

before I take it to the main dealer thought id try on here see if anyone has had the same issue and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Welcome ? ( could you please amend your profile to your proper name).

Fundemental question:- Is the oil level actually low and the sensors are reading correctly?

Regards,

Gareth.

Hello (Whoever),

Notice you returned to the forum a couple of hours ago, and wondered if you are going to amend your profile, and answer the question asked.

Thanks.
