A3 Cabriolet 2008 intermittent electrics in the heat

Featured Replies

Hello

I love my 2008 1.8T but over the last couple of years it has let me down in the hot weather, not ideal! Hood down, speedo, dials, windows , indicators, brake lights go. Hand signals fun.

Gradually as the car cools down the electrics return. It has been checked at the garage but they can't isolate it, even keeping it for several days in last year's hot weather. They suspect a dry joint expanding.

Does anyone else have experience of this please and any thoughts?

Thankyou Cliff, I will try to search the forums. Should anyone else have experience of intermittent Audi electrics I would love to hear from them.
