So I have a AUDI A6 C6 F4 Avant that has a short on the loom that plugs into the top of the comfort module which blows the module straight away if you try a new module the symptoms is the loss of the rear side light and brake light.

I have tried new light units the earth bypass and a module that blew stright away. But it did identify the plug i needed to test.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram and pinout information at all for the comfort module please

Before doing anything else, check the wiring in the flexible harness section twixt body and tailgate. Classic point for fractured and shorting cables.
