Keeping my A3 / get it 100% and upgrade power

Featured Replies

Hey

I have a 2021 Audi A3-35 spec and it's a nice little car for work, now that I have got used to all of the computers and digital screens etc. At first I hated the fact that I couldn't have things exactly how I wanted, IE sport mode only to stop coasting and the Audi map only on the screen in front of me but I have got used to this now too. The car drives well. Within two weeks of owning it I had two error lights upon startup (selector lever fault / child lock fault on rear door, which no longer opens and the window is not working). Audi wanted a fortune to fix this so I left it for a minute as I wasn't sure if I was keeping the car. I am now committing to keeping it and want these two issues sorted

Do I just go to Audi and get it done or can anyone recommend somewhere in the South London area?

Performance upgrades: Did some research and for less than £500 I can get it re-mapped from 150 BHP ish to 180 BHP isH. The guy told me that the ECU may not accept a remap but its luck of the draw once he plugs it in - I am happy to be corrected on this or anything I have said so far

180 BHP would give it the extra kick Im looking for, but if I am willing to spend £1,000 or even more depending on the result then can anyone please give me some advice or point me towards a previous thread.

Looking forward to results

Best

I suggest you go to an independent VAG specialist in your area for the repairs rather than Audi. They are generally cheaper and sometimes more competent than main dealers. An internet search should reveal several.

I make no comment on your plans to map the engine for more power. Search these forums for similar topics.
