I am hoping if anyone would be able to help explain what may be my issue

I have a 2014 Audi A3 1.6 TDI and recently iv been hearing a ticking noise coming from under the dash when I start my car which stops after about 30 seconds and only comes back on when the air recycler button is pressed iv removed the glove box and can see the ticking happens when what looks like the air condition flap opens iv attached a video of what’s happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Failure of the air flap motor and/or linkage is a common fault. I believe it's an awkward job to repair, though I have not done it myself.

Okay thank you I’ll have a look into that, the only thing that’s confusing me is that the flap opens and closes it’s just when it is open it seems as if it’s getting caught on something and I would assume the motor works if it opens? Or is this not the case and it will still be a motor issue ?
