Help, A4 B6 aftermarket stereo wiring

Featured Replies

Hi all, new here, and just bought my first Audi. 2002 A4 B6 Avant Tdi 130. I will be fitting a new stereo tomorrow and would like to have some details on where I can get a switch live from? Any help greatly appreciated

There should be a fuse in the fuse box from pre canbus times called S KONT. Fuse tap in that will provide an ignition live.

I have a piggy back fuse holder (for adding additional wiring) I'm assuming I can put that in the S KONT fuse holder to tap into it? and will I need to add a relay or will it provide enough power?

Yeah that would be fine, shouldn't need an additional relay. The S Kont fuse was used for providing an ignition live before they used CANBUS to provide it. Now CANBUS provides the live the fuse serves no real purpose.

Excellent thanks for that, I will give it a go at the weekend. Fed up of having to use the power button all the time now.. Now I just need to work out what upgrade I can use from other models. Nothing wild, just want all the OEM upgrades
