A3 8p 2003 hazzard light & cigarette lighter stays on after lock

Hi there,

I am new to this thread, and I am also me to owning an audi. I am very happy with the car, but a lot of stuff needs fixing.

The problem I have now is that after turning the ignition off and locking the car, the backlight of the triangle hazzard switch stays illuminated ALL THE TIME, and the ciggarette lighter (power socket) stays on after the ignition is off, I can only assume that it stays on 24/7 aswell. I'm more concerned about the hazzard switch

What could be the cause of this? I am a mechanic by trade, but this is stumping me, any help would be greatly appreciated.
