Newbie just bought my first Audi

Featured Replies

Hi all im Paul from Peterborough in the UK.

I've just bought a 2002 A4 B6 Quattro, 2.5 tdv6 sport.  Its done 128k, full Audi service history, mint condition and paid £2200.

Previous cars in order starting with most recent:-

Mercedes E320 cdi   2 years

P38 V8 Range Rover Vogue   1 year

R33 Nissan Skyline (not std.)   5 years

Vectra 2.5 V6    3 years

Mazda Xedos 2.0 V6   3 years

The rest is rather boring and plain .

I am well impressed with this Audi, it drives solid, pulls like a train, gear changes are sharp with immediate throttle response, the build quality feels ok although the glove box lid is broken, the cd player doesn't load cd`s, but that's it, I've been around the car with a fine toothcomb and that's all I can find at fault.

I've just booked her in for a engine oil & filter change, gearbox oil, diff oil, brake fluid change along with a minor service just to make sure she's up to scratch.

Fuel consumption so far looks good, after 100 miles im working it out to approx. 34 mpg, and that's with giving it some beans here and there.

I like to know things about the cars I own so im hoping this forum will be informative for me.
