Warning - Brake Servo Inoperative

Featured Replies

Hi

Our Audi A3 is 5 years old with only 11,000 miles on the clock.

This morning, I turned on the ignition and immediately saw the warning "Brake servo inoperative" accompanied by a series of high pitched beeps. The warning disappeared quite quickly as did the beeps. I took the car out onto our pretty quiet road to test the brakes, and they appeared to work perfectly normally, though the beeps did come on from time to time. I have tried turning the ignition on and off a few times but the warning had not reappeared. However, when I am stationary with the engine on, the beeps will start if I press on the brake pedal.

Can anyone thrown any light on this?

Thanks.

Warning brake servo inoperative and

Automatic start/stop: system fault! Function unavailable ... got it booked in at Audi Halesowen who technical staff diagnosed it as the "Brake Servo vacuum sensor which was promptly change and the problem rectifie. Their has to enough of a vaccume in the servo before the Start/stop function works :0
