Unreliability of A6 Ultra

Four months ago I purchased a new A6 Ultra, since then it has been back into the garage 4 times, each time for about 10 days with the same fault,  the yellow engine management warning light keeps coming on, apparently its a problem in the  Ad blue system. Has anyone else had this problem ? as I am beginning to regret buying the car, and  I want the dealership to replace the car, but as expected they don't appear keen to do this.

  • 3 weeks later...

this is now the updated history of this sad story :_

Broke down first time 4th June, got it back about
10 days later.

Broke down second time 15th August

Drove car off the forecourt approx 22nd August
and fault returned before getting on too road

Received car back 1st September

Broke down 3rd September again

Phone call from Garage 12Th September to tell me
that they had found four faults in the system, three of the faults were cleared
with a new wiring loom, the fourth fault was not cleared until another new pump
was fitted, this is the second pump fitted. I told them that I had no
confidence in the car and wanted a replacement, I was told that the Dealership
manager was aware of the problem and he would speak again to him and the sales
manager and they would get back to me on Monday.

15th September phone call from garage to tell me
the car was ready to be  delivered back
to me, said I was not happy about this and spoke to the Sales Manager who said
he would speak to Audi UK, he got back to me and told me that Audi had said for
them to keep the car for another day and then re check the  before handing it back to me, Audi were also
going to look into  some compensation,
the sales manager said he would get back to me tomorrow if this was ok. I said
yes go ahead.

16th September 3:40pm heard from the garage who
said that some sensors had started counting
down which they thought was prior to the light coming on, they were in
talks with Audi re this so were keeping the car.

22nd September contacted Audi Aberdeen as I had
not heard from them, they are still checking the system but have not got to the
bottom of the fault, said again that I wanted a replacement as they have now
had the car for over five weeks, and since they don’t know how to fix the car
it should go back top Audi to fix and give me a replacement, the sales manager
said he would pass my comments on the Audi UK and would get back to me.

23rd September still waiting !!
