Unidentified black box

Featured Replies

Hi all, recently purchased an A4 Avant 2010 and found what appears to be a non standard black box wired in the boot behind the 12v socket. Attached a couple pictures. It's hanging loose, and has 4 wires running into it. Anyone have any ideas what this might be?

Cheers

Interesting, not sure what it is, sorry. Have you tried contacting the previous owner to ask them?

Welcome to the forum too. :)

Thanks for the reply, and nice to be here :-)

Haven't done that no, but could be worth a try. Might pop into Audi and see if they have any suggestions too. Certainly a tad strange.

Just seen this, it could be part of a tracker system as that looks like it might be a battery box possibly?

Have you tried unscrewing those top screws and peeping inside?
