Replacement body trim

Featured Replies

Just bought an A3 S line 2006. Few bits need doing and advice needed. A piece of body trim between the front and rear doors , door pilar I think . The black paint is flaking off. I'm thinking either get them off myself or replace with new parts. Can't see any screws holding them so I guess they just pull off.

Any good Audi parts suppliers near the Gatwick area or online companies. And any ideas how you get these trims off.

Thanks

Hi,  I have the same problem on my wifes 1.4TFSI, ordered 2 replacement parts and rivets to secure them, 2 x trim £60.00 pair. Rivets x6 £12.00.

What a rip of the rivets cost pence so why £12.00.

The rivets are located under the door rubber trim, if you gently move it forward you will see them, they need drilling out but not sure if the trim will gently pull out, due to try this tomorrow.  The new parts are painted and not coated like the old ones, may be worth trying to clean up the old ones and spray them.
