S1 purchased

Hi all

Been with the Audi brand for years now and traded my wifes A1 in for an S1(for her ....aye right).

I drive an A5 cab which I have just changed. I had a 1.8 TFSi A5 cab but just changed it to an A5 2.0 TDi 177 m-tronic special edition (sepang blue).

Question on the quattro on the S1. It seems to stutter when moving out from parking with a slight lock on the steering. It's like the quattro is engaging on the front...any thoughts?

Hi Dave, welcome to the club!

Hmmm sounds like quite a difficult one to diagnose tbh.

I have heard of various people reporting issues like this (not with the S1 though) only to be told it's normal for a quattro system.

My advice would be as you're under warranty to pop into your local Audi dealer and see if you can borrow a technician for 5 mins to demonstrate the fault. This tends to be a lot more effective than just handing the car over and hoping they can replicate it!
