Hi all I'm new to this and have a few issues !

Every morning it has about 10 second delay start and when starts it puffs out a lot of white smoke but stops when running ! Any ideas

Also it showed on the temp gauge that it was very high but when checked water levels it was fine ? Any ideas

I topped it up just before we drove 120 miles with normal water ! Would've this affected it ?

I'm assuming it's diesel...

 

Before trying anything else I would be inclined to run the tank down to nearly empty and then fill it up with something like Shell V power diesel and/or a decent diesel injector cleaner.

 

Once that tank starts flowing through, I'd take it out and give it a good thrashing through the gears (once warmed up) to try and clear it out a bit. Definitely worth using a decent fuel and/or injector cleaner occasionally with a diesel too in my opinion.

It went in had diagnostics done and turned out to be 2 glow plugs out and the over heating was down to a faulty sensor which had now been replaced

I came out this morning and still got a delayed start and white smoke at the start

Was this ever resolved in the end or are you still getting the problem even after putting it into the garage?
