I rang an audi dealer today and they informed me that my vin is special in some way as it starts with aaazzz not the regular wauzzz. James Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 The first three letters usually indicate the country the car was manufactured in as well as the vehicle manufacturer and body style. - W is normally Germany I think. U is passenger vehicle. All Audi passenger vehicles should therefore start with WAU as your dealer stated. Is the number the same in all the places it appears - engine bay, spare wheel well, service record booklet, registration document (V5C) etc.?
