Hazards flashing - key fob won't lock or unlock

Hi everyone ! 

 

Not a great start to Christmas Day! Hazards flashings with no alarm, key fob won't lock or unlock car. When I lock it manually and leave it the hazards start again. I've disconnected the battery and still happening. The footwells passenger and driver side is bone dry. Battery is bone dry. Everything is dry. I've seen on other forums that it could possibly be a module in the drivers door ?.. 

It's happened before, and luckily my friend cleared all faults with vcds and that done the job.. But now it's back so I've got to deal with this properly now.
