I have decided to keep my audi b6 convertiable the car has sport brakes and sport exhaust but the cat converter needs replacing. should I replace the part or the whole exhaust?

Is it a standard cat or a sports one? When you say you have a sports exhaust is this just the cat back part or the whole thing?
