Do you have your owners maintenance manual, if I'm right, and someone may correct me, if you take it to an audi dealer within the 12 years paint and corrosion warranty and as long as it's had no work done paint ways then they should replace or repaint the bad body work

Hope that helps

Rang Audi dealership today car booked in for Tuesday 19th for inspection, car has done 70,000 miles plus a full Audi history, apart from last stamp which was from infinity  were i bought car which happens to be part of the Benfield motorgroup they only done a oil change which was not due according to audi service book, but done it as part of the sale.

Will keep you posted of outcome once the inspection has been carried out, thanks for advice.

And one more question do i need to produce my service book,

Am i right that they can check history on there computer system which will show a full up to date history from Audi.

Personally, I would take your service book anyway just in case.

I had a similar situation on a Focus ST I used to own and the dealership had to take a scan of the service book to send to Ford as part of the warranty claim to get it approved.

I have the same issue with my A4 rust appearing on the front wings. It must be comman as its the same year. I didn't realise about the paint corrosion warranty before this forum. I haven't owned the car long just like you, had it 8 months, has had full Audi  dealer history. Wings were professionally sorted from a private body work specialist, didn't have the wing changed as I was advised to, hense no warranty as I was told it may re appear unless I got it changed and it has. So annoyed so I know the feeling Kev6699, let me know if you do manage to get it sorted?

Qasim, unfortunately Audi probably won't touch yours now as it had the work done privately. This is usually the same with most manufacturers - if anyone else has touched it then it gives them a great excuse not to do anything about it

Sorry for late reply been to Audi dealership North East (silverlink) ,talked to there-paint / body work specialist said my wing as yours have been repaired not from Audi but as there is rust present without penetration i would have no claim, basically,if they had rusted through they would look at it,the rust  has to penetrating,to claim on  12 year warranty.

Thing to do now is contact Audi UK which he said to do  but im not holding my breath.

Thinking now of getting new wings and getting done for peace of mind, but as its DTM model should i get genuine parts as i want car like new.

Anyone know where to get parts and fit them in North east area.

Yes I would stick with genuine parts Kev as it's the DTM. If you can't claim on the Audi warranty though, couldn't a good bodyshop treat/repair the rust for you?

I would definitely contact Audi before you do anything else though as you never know. Let us know how you get on.
