A5 3.0 TDI reading SAFE on Tripmeter

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Something very strange happened yesterday i returned to my car and after starting it it reads SAFE on the dashboard and i can only see my speed.

I read online it may be a key issue but both my keys are reading the same thing. it drives fine does anyone know how to reset it ?

Hi Stuart,

SAFE usually means the key(s) are not being recognised...make sure that the key(s) are for that car and it is paired to the vehicle (put key in ignition to pair).

The drivers manual should have some additional information on this issue.

Please let us know how you get on
