Hi, not sure if anyone has come across this before , but I have a 2007 model with a power tailgate . The latch works fine , and the boot opens and lowers as it should . As it gets to the boot latch , where it should then pull shut and close, it seems to try and then give up , therefore not closing properly .

Any thoughts would be helpful . 

All sorted . Found a spring that had snapped and had come off inside boot catch . Re attached after a bit of messing , works fine .

Had same issue in the last month, my spring had broke.

Bought a new spring (not as strong as original) for 20p from Maxwells DIY, new grease (WD40) applied to latch and all is well ;)
