Hi guys im new to the forum so be nice ahaha.

I recently bought an audi a4 b6 and have since found its an utter dog and hasnt been looked after, ive found its had an engine swap badly (Its supposed to have the bfb engine and has an awt engine) but the ecu and various other bits have been changed too.

my car being a saloon also thinks its a convertable becuase of the ecu but my biggest problem being my drivers door doesnt lock with fob or key...i have checked the comfort control module and its like new...its has 3 new wiring looms and 2 diffierent door mechs and window mechs.

my question for you experts is.....1. is there anyway to reprogram the ecu to make my car think its a saloon not a convertable and 2. has anyone else had my locking issue (do the door mechs need to be coded) ?

Wow...you have got some problems!    Anyone on here have any info?

I would either purchase VAG-COM or similar and have a play around with that or drop it into a specialist who may be able to upload the correct settings into the control modules.
