Instable fan

Featured Replies

Have 2001 A2 and the interior fan is instable. Both in auto and manual, but mostly in auto. What can be wrong?

Hi Sven...welcome to the Club!

I have found that the fan motors tend to dry up on the bearings and become semi-seized...a bit of lube spray to ease the bearing and it's then fine.

Otherwise if its a control issue...try cleaning out the ambient air temperature sensor aperture on the dashboard as these can block up with dust, etc.
