Help with Correct Part Number

Hi there.

Hoping someone can help.

I have an 2001 Audi A4 2.0 Sport which my service schedule identifies as 8E2 0B4  (not B6 but can't find anything relating to a B4 anywhere online)

I exported the car to Cyprus 4 years ago and need to source a replacement blower motor (used) from the UK.

I've found several on eBay but the part numbers vary between listings.  Some show 8E2820021B and some show 8E2820021A.

To my untrained eye, both items look the same in the photos - apart from the Audi label with the different numbers above.

I don't want to go to the expense of shipping the wrong part and have to start over - especially as I'll have to pay my mechanic twice for the labour!

Can anyone give me a definitive answer on which part number is the correct one for my model?

I've tried going back to the dealer I bought from for help but they only want to give me a price for a new part!

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi dustycat, it'll definitely not be a b4 model, if your chassis number has 8E in it as the 7th and 8th digits after the letters then it'll be a b6, this determines the part numbers for your model if it's a b5 I think the part numbers start 8d which would be in the chassis number, hope that helps
