Audi Q7 Navigation issue

Featured Replies

I have just bought a 2008 Q7 Sline. When I press the Nav button, mmi says it's not installed. I went hunting in the boot and found the dvd drive is installed and there appears to be a dvd in the drive. I can't eject the disc as there appears to be no power to it or its just a dead drive.

Is there a fuse to check for the dvd drive or should I get another drive and see if it works? I unplugged the drive to take in the house and the mmi stopped working so I've plugged it back in.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi Ben

I have read before that the units tend to fail and also recall that there are plenty used ones available at a reasonable cost...maybe worth going that route

Let us know how you get on with this

I've ordered another drive from eBay so will see how that goes? I've got another drive with the same model number as my 1. Will I need to code the replacement 1?

Sorry for the delayed reply. Swapping the drive out for another unit worked fine. It was the same part number so needed no coding.
