Hi

Just got an A3 1.4 150PS COD S-Line (from Audi dealer). 18 months old (64 plate) with just 4000 miles on it. Just hoping such a low mileage (short trips etc) doesn't drive engine problems later on and that it doesn't suffer from the much discussed oil consumption issues...

Lovely car though! :-)

Hi John...welcome to the Forum!

Hopefully you won't have any issues with your new Audi...have to say, very low miles on it for the age

Only thing I have have found with any vehicle with ultra-low miles is that you still have to bed the engine in as it will probably consume oil at a high rate until it has settled in.

Enjoy!

Cheers, Trevor

Yea, it's not knowing what happened in that first 1500km... but you never do unless the car is brand new...

It was on a flexible rather than fixed service plan (I guess the owner thought he was to do > 10K a year), but the dealer did an oil change anyway, which after 18 months is just as well. I will be doing > 10K a year ;-)
