Hit a curb now front wheel pushed back

Featured Replies

Hey guys this is a bit of a long shot but worth a try.

I'm after some advice. I'm new to owning a audi and just had my first near miss someone pulled out on me on a t junction and I had to swerve to miss them. to cut the the story short I hit the curb with the near side wheel and now my steering seems to be out. What's the worst I could have done? Could it be the tracking or have I bent something? After comparing both sides my near side wheel seems to be sat further back than the other and can hear it rubbing when locking round and the car pulls to the left.

My plan today is to get it up in the air with the wheels off and see if I can find out what I've damaged. Not best impressed but could have been worse any input welcome.

Hi James...sorry to hear about your mishap, but could have been worse I suppose!

I would advise checking the lower arms first but may not visually notice too much in the way of distortion so I would put it on wheel alignment equipment to gauge how much damage is there...e.g. is it way out and by how much (tow, castor, camber, etc)

Let us know how you get on with it

Cheers   Trevor
