Marco Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Just bought my first audi and I'm doing the timing belt tomorrow. Now I know the 2.0 tdi suffer oil pump failure. Iv been told my car had a replacement engine but I'm not 100% sure if the oil pump was upgraded. Is there any way of checking visually with out taking sump or oil pump off. Trevor Posted September 19, 2016 Share Posted September 19, 2016 Hi Marco...welcome to the forum I'm not sure personally, without contacting the person/garage who replaced the engine then I would work on the assumption that it hasn't and replace it as a matter of course.
