Starting issue a4 tdi auto

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

got an issue with my car starting when hot, it starts and runs gr8 from cold but when it gets up to temp and its switched off trying to start it again is bad it's as if the engine rocks and takes 3-4 times to start, it's been to Audi and they said it was the flywheel but I had a mechanic look at it and said it looks fine starter is good changed the temp sensor for coolant had the anti shudder valve off and cleans along with the dpf lines and had it terracleand also but no luck there's no lights on or falts showing, wondering if anyone has had or herd of this before?

Thanks

ross

Hi Ross...welcome to the Forum

You could check the wiring to the plug on the Coolant Temperature Sensor as I have found a few with the fault...the wiring tends to break away from the terminal in the connector itself. Worth checking, as it seems to be temperature related.

Cheers   Trevor
