A4 Black Edition - iPhone 7 Plus Connectively

Featured Replies

Hi, recently just purchased a 2013 A4 Black Edition and love it!

I am trying to connect my iPhone 7 Plusto the AMI unit.

I bought two leads...

A bluetooth one...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401222257106

It says a device is connected on the console but my iPhone 7 Plus cannot find the BT receiver when scanning. Having looked at the item in more detail, it doesn't state A4 for some reason, why would this be different than any other model???

I also purchased this lead...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261943695814

This was to link my iPod which has a 3.5mm socket and any devices in the future. It works through the speakers using the 3.5mm jack but not using the lighting port. Again, looked at the item listing and it doesn't state iPhone 7 but to me aren't they all the same if they have a lightning port?

Any advice on what I can do or what I really should have bought?

I'm going to try the lighting port to 3.5mm jack adapter that comes with the phone tomorrow.

Thanks

hmm, i wish i had the media unit!

i connect my iphone 7 to the Aux port on the centre arm rest on mine using a standard 3.5mm cable and the lightning to 3.5mm converter. works fine but i want it bluetoothed and the ability to manage the phone from the cars controls. seems and expensive 'want' though!
