Replacing Single Din for Double Din

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Quick question can I replace my single din system for a double din unit if I move the heating/AC console down? It looks like I'll need to replace the AC with a different model but I should be able to get one cheap enough.

Basically I need to know if I do that will the double din unit fit in the space?

Any help or advice please.

Thanks

Thanks Trevor Iong time reader, first time poster.

I'll have a look still want to know if it'll fit my console if I buy a different AC unit that's fit at the bottom (see pic)

I'm probably making this as clear as mud but hopefully someone understands 😀

Marc, if you haven't already sorted this, I seem to remember watching a YouTube video on how to do this as I was looking into doing it myself. It can be done, but you need a new double din frame that replaces the single din frame in the centre console, the A/C panel can either be modified by filing down the sides or replace with another unit.
