New clutch/flywheel still judders

Featured Replies

Hi all

I had my Clutch and flywheel changed last month, because my one had totally gone (severe judder) I took my car to a trusted German car (more Audi) Specialist who is also a clutch specialist as for many other things that he is.

So to cut a long story short even with a new clutch and flywheel it still judders not as aggressively but still judders on take offs and there is a bit of a clunking sound.

He's had a look and says the clutch is fine and more likely to be the gearbox but hes changing the clutch and flywheel for me on Friday under warranty , fingers crossed. (All parts are OEM)

Any thoughts? do you agree on his outcome?

Could be worn engine/gearbox mounts

This was the other thing me and the guy both said it could be as well, very frustrating, a lot of money going into this car, yet again it's 16/17 years old now so needs a bit of love and care :)
