Featured Replies

I've got a driveshaft to change, does anyone know which tools I need ie Allen keys etc, I've got jacks axle stands etc and breaker bar, just wondering what I need for removing the drive shaft itself

what car? the last vag one i swapped was on a 1.9tdi ASV and there was a bunch of Allen Key bolts securing it to the gear box and a massive nut at the hub end.

easy job and not many tools required (sockets, allen key sockets, lump hammer. to be fair its the same process for most cars. i drained the oil in fear from the previous time i did it and dumped litres of the smelly stuff all over my drive! not required on most VAGs i believe but i'd check before you start
