Derwood1985 Posted March 16, 2017 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Hi people - newbie here 馃槵馃槵 So ive picked up a 2004 A4 Advant Sport 2.5 V6 TDI as the original owner was selling do to being told the dmf was on its way. I've had a listen and starting to question wheather it is the dmf. I've got a clip of the sound and where the sound is coming from - so my question is,聽has anyone heard this sound (sorry for the quietness of the sound trying to pick up on) but is a metallic clunk/scrape, more prominent from the聽n/s/f part of the engine.聽 聽 Any my help would be appreciated聽 Thanks - Darren IMG_0188.MOV Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevor Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 HI Darren Hard to tell with the sound of the Diesel engine running but if it was DMF I don't think you would hear it on idle, only when accelerating/decelerating and on startup/shutdown.
